Lemon Ginger Hot Toddy Kit
Lemon and ginger are long established friends so it's no surprise that they blend beautifully in this hot toddy. Brew like tea, add a shot of whiskey, rum, or brandy and a teaspoon of honey. The smell is as much a treat as the taste.
A favorite winter warmer, the hot toddy was historically sipped as a soothing bedtime tonic, or a relief to cold, wet weather. These days we sip it anytime we need a warm-up punch. It was named for the "toddy palm" drink in India, and made its way to Scotland via the East India Company as a hot whiskey drink of water, honey, herbs, and spices.
This Christmas-y variety, studded with orange and clove, is hand blended and packaged by Oliver Pluff & Co. Each beautiful tin contains 3 oz. of toddy blend, enough to brew 3 gallons. Or you can make individual toddies using the enclosed muslin teabags. A must-have for cold weather and a unique and memorable gift for the holidays.
