Orange Clove Hot Toddy Kit
Dried citrus and smoky spice spark this hot toddy which you brew like tea, spike with alcohol (or not), and sweeten with honey (or not), to warm you from the inside out.
A favorite winter warmer, the hot toddy was historically sipped as a soothing bedtime tonic, or a relief to cold, wet weather. These days we sip it anytime we need a warm-up punch. It was named for the "toddy palm" drink in India, and made its way to Scotland via the East India Company as a hot whiskey drink of water, honey, herbs, and spices.
This Christmas-y variety, studded with orange and clove, is hand blended and packaged by from Oliver Pluff & Co. Each beautiful tin contains 3 oz. of toddy blend, enough to brew 3 gallons of toddies. Or you can make individual toddies using the enclosed muslin teabags. A must-have for cold-weather and a unique and memorable gift for the holidays.
